Dr. Bryan Guevara and Dr. Armand Merton, second year and third year residents, respectively, were among the 10,000 dermatology professionals from 125 countries who attended the 23^rd Quadrennial World Congress of Dermatology at the Vancouver Convention Center in British Columbia, Canada last June 8-13, 2015.

In 30^th of March 2015, the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) commissioned ACJ Construction Resources, a private development contractor, to improve the heat ventilator and air condition system (HVAC) of the Obstetrics ward. Supervised by Engr. Henry Q. Tancio, the head of Engineering and Maintenance department, the Php5, 975,291.28 project is estimated to be completed within 60 calendar days.

In November 2014, the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) commissioned Riezl Land Care and Construction, a private development contractor, to convert the old gym into a new medical ward and centralized intensive care units. The five-story building has a projected 162-bed capacity equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a fitness gym. Supervising the Php 128, 880, 842.80 project is Engr, Henry Q. Tancio, head of the Engineering and Maintenance Department.

The Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) has commissioned ACJ Construction Resources, a private development contractor, to renovate operating rooms last 30^th of March 2015. The old delivery room, responsible for providing safe delivery for birthing women, including the complex hallway of the areas peripheries is set to be renovated and converted into an extension of the operating room. Supervising the Php18, 958,796.87 project is the head of the Engineering and Maintenance Department, Engr. Henry Q. Tancio and is estimated to be completed within 90 calendar days. The Mother and Child building located behind the Heart Center will serve as the new delivery room.
