Merton, Guevara attend World Congress of Dermatology

Dr. Armand MertonDr. Bryan Guevara and Dr. Armand Merton, second year and third year residents, respectively, were among the 10,000 dermatology professionals from 125 countries who attended the 23rd Quadrennial World Congress of Dermatology at the Vancouver Convention Center in British Columbia, Canada last June 8-13, 2015.
Dr. Guevara presented two case reports: “A 20-year old Filipino male with dermatitis herpetiformis” and “A 54-year old Filipino male with kertoacanthomacentrifugum marginatum-verrucous carcinoma spectrum.”
The first case report was co-authored by Dr. Karla Castanos, DPDS (dermatologist), Dr. Paolo Dillera (2nd year Internal Medicine resident) and Dr. Jesse Orcasitas (Pulmonologist), while the second was co-authored by Dr. Maricarr Lacuesta, FPDS (dermpathologist) and Dr. Kristine Bunagan, FPDS (dermatologist).
Also present during the convention were Dr. Jocelyn Guevara, the presentor's proud mom; Dr. Karen Alabado, Training Officer of SPMC Dermatology Department; and Dr. Kristine Bunagan, Dermatology consultant.
