SPMC-PSPVU Conducts Best Practices for Patient Safety Seminar

The Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance Unit (PSPVU) conducted a seminar on Best Practices for Patient Safety last Friday, 22 June 2018 at the Mahogany Room.
Mr. Rommel E. Alegre, EDL, MAN, RN, FPSQua, the resource speaker from the Makati Medical Center, imparted his expertise and strategies on health care best practices. He also evaluated the participants’ own best practices and suggested key points for areas of improvement. The SPMC Guidelines for Patient Safety was presented to the participants, and evaluation of the proposed patient safety monitoring tool was also conducted. The seminar was attended by more than 150 participants coming from the medical division, nursing division unit managers and unit heads from non-allied and administrative divisions.
The seminar on best practices for patient safety was one of the main activities of the unit’s week-long celebration of the National Patient Safety Day from 18-22 June 2018.
