Dr. Marie Applelyn M. Fabian, a graduate of the SPMC Department of Family and Community Medicine residency training and a Certified Family Physician, won second place in the poster presentation category of the national-level research contest of the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) held on 19 February 2015 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) conferred four subspecialists, two diplomates and one certified family physician from Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) on 18 February 2015 at the Summit Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center on the occasion of the 54th PAFP Anniversary and Annual Convention.
