The Department of Anesthesiology was established as an accredited training department in 1940 by the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology and the Accreditation Committee of the Department of Health. It has a 3-year residency program in the field of Clinical Anesthesiology, including cardiopulmonary-cerebral resuscitation, intensive care and therapy, and pain management for the specialists in training.

Peripheral Nerve Blocks | - Involves injection of local anesthetics to a nerve or bundle of nerves to block pain sensations on a specific body area. - Type of regional anesthesia most commonly used in surgery on the arms and hands, legs and feet, or the face. | 24/7 |
Monitored Anesthesia Care | - A planned procedure that includes sedation and analgesia while the patient undergoes local anesthesia. | 24/7 |
